Reffracteur Consortium Secures Horizon Europe Funding for Industrial Doctorate Program
The Reffracteur consortium is proud to announce the success of its application to the prestigious Horizon Europe programme, securing funding for a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Doctoral Network (MSCA DN) dedicated to advancing research in refractory materials.
This new industrial doctorate will support 15 fully funded PhD positions, each focused on innovative, interdisciplinary research addressing the challenges and future needs of the refractory sector. By combining academic excellence with strong industrial engagement, the programme aims to train a new generation of specialists equipped to drive technological progress in high‑temperature materials.
This achievement also marks a significant milestone for the project coordinator, Marc Huger, Professor at the University of Limoges. It is the third successful Horizon Europe MSCA DN he has led—an exceptional accomplishment that reflects both his leadership and the consortium’s scientific strength.
The Reffracteur consortium brings together leading universities, research institutes, and industrial partners across Europe, all committed to pushing the boundaries of refractory science and fostering high‑impact doctoral training.
Recruitment for the 15 PhD positions will open soon, with opportunities for talented young researchers from around the world to join this ambitious and collaborative programme.
